North Lakes is a suburb in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland and located approximately 26 km north of the Brisbane central business district. It is a family-focused suburb with all the convenience and facilities of a bustling city.
There are numerous private and public schools in North Lakes, including The Lakes College, which was ranked in the list of Queensland’s Top 10, OP 1-5 Schools for 2016. There is also the North Lakes State College, which is ranked as a P-3 college and Bounty Boulevard State School services prep to year six students. For private schools, there is St. Benedict’s School, which is just outside the North Lakes precinct.
Access to public transport is excellent, with a good bus service. In addition, trains can be caught from nearby Petrie.
The suburb includes parklands, schools and plenty of shops. The large Westfield shopping centre has over 200 stores, including the IKEA superstore, Costco, Woolworths, Target and other major retailers.
The newly opened North Lakes Sports Club opened in 2016 and has become the ‘go to’ place for family dining and entertainment.
The population of North Lakes is 21,688 of which 38.58% are renters.
